Welcome to La Paz Mexico 's Costabaja Resort and Marina

The premier, double-basin Marina at CostaBaja is surrounded by deserted islands, stunning white beaches, sandy bays and magnificent volcanic mountains. The Marina is nestled in a protected location and offers the closest proximity to the Sea of Cortez. Aptly named “The World’s Aquarium” by Jacques Cousteau and appointed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the Sea of Cortez is a naturalists’ delight. Imagine dolphins frolicking in front of your boat; the majestic sight of migrating gray whales; groups of elegant manta rays undulating though the waters; and colonies of comical sea lions lazing on rocky outcrops.

With 8,000 miles of coastline to explore, your choices are endless: reel in the “big one” in one of the world’s best sport fishing spots; plunge into a diving excursion and delight in the sea stars and schools of vibrant tropical fish; kayak to secret coves and uninhabited islets; meet up with friends and embark on a catamaran cruise; ride the ocean breezes while windsurfing, or kite surfing; or enjoy a tranquil sail on the shimmering turquoise Sea of Cortez. You’ll be awed by the natural wonders and unspoiled splendor of CostaBaja.

This privileged geographic location offers up a host of outdoor possibilities, both at CostaBaja, and in nearby La Paz. Whether you prefer land-based or water-based adventures, there is much to choose from. With a Gary Player Design 18-hole golf course in the works, families can also currently enjoy miniature golf and a rock climbing wall at CostaBaja Resort and Marina. Neighboring La Paz offers strolls along its palm-fringed malécon, bustling mercados (markets), historic buildings, dramatic sculptures, local artisans crafting colorful pottery and weaving blankets … as well as bowling, shopping, sight-seeing, music, dining and dancing, to name just a few of its many attractions.
ACTIVITIES
A world-class scuba-diving destination, the region offers other popular water sports including swimming with the sea lions, snorkeling, kayaking and sport fishing. Sport fishing enthusiasts will delight in the abundance of the most coveted species such as Striped, Blue, and Black Marlin, Dorado, Roosterfish and Yellowtail.

There are two major fishing areas. The first, Isla Espiritu Santos, is only 15 miles from CoataBaja Resort and Marina, and charters usually fish the north side of the island, which is slightly further. The second, Isla Cerralvo, is reachable either by sea or only 35 minutes away by car.
